Brookland has some pretty hip places to see and be seen. We're pretty sure you'll agree one of them is volunteering after hours at the Capital Area Food Bank. We can't deny that philanthropy is sexy. Warehouse Wednesday kicks off on September 10th, and you're invited to take part in the fun. The Capital Area Food Bank (4900 Puerto Rico Ave NE) is our meeting spot. Come one, come all, bring a date, and roll up your "do gooder" sleeves in honor of Hunger Action Month this September.
Por favor RSVP by September 5
About the Organizers
The Capital Area Food Bank is the region's largest hunger relief organization serving more than 500,000 people at risk of hunger in the greater Washington region. Annually we distribute 45 million pounds of food, equivalent to 37.5 million meals, of which 17 million pounds are fresh fruit and vegetables.
The DC Chamber of Commerce Emerging Professionals Program (EPP) is dedicated to enriching the economic future of Washington by offering a platform for young and motivated individuals to become active members of the DC Chamber of Commerce and build strategic partnerships with the local business community.
